Prestonia quinquangularis prefers bright, indirect to bright filtered light. After shipping, place it in bright light without direct sun to help it recover without stressing the foliage. Too much direct light can cause leaf stress, while low light may slow growth and reduce vine strength.

Water when the top 2–3 inches of soil are dry. After shipping, allow the plant to dry slightly more between waterings while the roots adjust. This vining plant does not tolerate soggy soil well during acclimation. Always water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain fully.

This plant prefers moderate to high humidity (60–75%). Stable humidity helps prevent leaf curl and supports smoother adjustment after shipping. While it can adapt to average household humidity, added humidity encourages healthier vine growth and leaf texture.

Ideal temperatures range from 68–88°F. Prestonia quinquangularis prefers warmth and does not handle cold drafts well. After shipping, avoid placing it near air conditioning vents, exterior doors, or cool windows, as temperature stress can slow acclimation.

Use a well-draining, airy tropical mix that allows water to pass through easily while retaining light moisture. A standard potting mix amended with perlite and bark works well. Ensure the pot has drainage holes. Do not repot immediately after arrival—wait at least 2–3 weeks to allow the plant to settle.

After shipping, Prestonia may pause growth as it adjusts to its new environment. Vines may appear slightly limp at first but should firm up with stable care. Avoid moving or repotting during the acclimation period. Once settled, it produces steady vining growth and benefits from a support structure.
