LIGHT
Bright indirect light maintains deep foliage color and pale variegation contrast. Place a few feet back from an east or west window or across the room from a bright south window. Direct afternoon sun burns pale sectors; low light causes dull, stretched growth. Grow lights may be used at moderate intensity.
WATERING
Water when top 1–2 inches are dry. After shipping, water slightly less for 1–2 weeks as roots adjust. Overwatering causes yellowing lower leaves and mushy stems; underwatering causes limp leaves that recover after watering. Always drain excess water fully.
HUMIDITY
Prefers 50–70% humidity. Adapts to indoor humidity once acclimated but dry air may crisp pale sections. Keep away from direct HVAC airflow. A small humidifier or grouped plants is sufficient.
TEMPERATURE
Ideal range is 65–80°F. Below 55°F slows metabolism and risks leaf damage. Avoid cold windows, drafts, and AC vents. Growth slows naturally in winter months.
SOIL & POTTING
Use a chunky aroid mix (bark + perlite + coco coir/peat). Avoid compact peat-only mixes. Repot only when roots fill the container. Poles are optional for upright posture.
GROWTH & ACCLIMATION
Slow to moderate grower depending on environmental conditions. Variegation varies normally between leaves. Expect 1–3 weeks of acclimation after shipping. Fertilize once new growth appears.
COMMON ISSUES & TIPS
Pale leaves → low light or nutrients
Crispy pale tissue → sun or dry air
Soft leaves → shipping stress
Avoid repotting during acclimation
