Bright indirect light is necessary to maintain the molting mint pattern. Direct midday sun burns pale areas, while low light reduces contrast and fenestration. East windows or distanced south windows are ideal indoors. Grow lights work well if not placed too close.

Allow the top inch of soil to dry before watering again. After shipping, reduce watering frequency for 1–2 weeks until roots resume drinking. Overwatering causes yellowing and mushy stems, while underwatering causes temporary droop. Drain excess water fully after watering.

Prefers 60–75% humidity for best variegation and leaf texture. Can adapt to household humidity but crisping at the edges may appear in dry air. Avoid vents blowing directly toward the plant. Grouping plants or using a humidifier improves conditions without enclosure.

Ideal range is 65–82°F. Below 55°F slows growth and risks cold damage. Avoid cold windows during winter months. Transit cold exposure may soften leaves temporarily but recovers as temperatures stabilize.

Use a chunky aroid mix with bark and perlite for airflow. Avoid dense peat-heavy soils that retain too much water. Repot once rootbound or when dry-out becomes rapid. Support poles encourage larger leaves and fenestration over time.

Moderate grower with fenestration forming as the plant matures. Molting pattern varies between leaves and is normal. Acclimation after shipping lasts 1–3 weeks with reduced water demand. Resume fertilizing once new growth appears.
