LIGHT
Medium to bright indirect light maintains strong stem and leaf color. Direct sun burns or washes pigment. Low light is tolerated but results in reduced color intensity. East or shaded south windows are effective indoors.
WATERING
Water when the top inch dries slightly. Overwatering causes yellowing leaves and root issues, while underwatering leads to droop. After shipping, watering needs decrease temporarily. Drain excess water fully.
HUMIDITY
Tolerates indoor humidity (40–60%). Slightly higher humidity improves leaf finish but is optional. Avoid vents blowing directly onto foliage.
TEMPERATURE
Ideal 65–80°F. Below 60°F slows metabolism and risks chilling damage. Protect from cold drafts near windows or doors.
SOIL & POTTING
Use tropical well-draining soil with perlite. Avoid compact mixes. Repot when rootbound.
GROWTH & ACCLIMATION
Stable indoor performer with consistent leaves once established. Acclimation takes 1–3 weeks.
