LIGHT

Aglaonema Red Stardust prefers low to medium indirect light. After shipping, it’s best to start it in medium light and let it settle before moving it brighter. Too much direct sun can fade the red tones, while very low light may slow growth. It’s a great option for rooms without intense natural light.

WATERING

Allow the top 2–3 inches of soil to dry before watering again. Red Stardust handles slightly drier soil better than staying wet, especially right after shipping. Overwatering during acclimation is the most common mistake, so always check the soil first and make sure excess water drains completely.

HUMIDITY

Average household humidity works well, but 50–60% humidity will keep foliage looking its best. This plant is not overly sensitive to humidity changes after shipping, making it easy to acclimate. Extra humidity can help, but it’s not required for healthy growth.

TEMPERATURE

Keep temperatures between 65–85°F. Aglaonema Red Stardust prefers consistent warmth and does not tolerate cold drafts. After shipping, avoid placing it near exterior doors, windows, or air vents, as sudden temperature drops can cause leaf yellowing.

SOIL & POTTING

Use a well-draining indoor potting mix that holds some moisture without becoming soggy. A standard houseplant mix with added perlite works well. Avoid repotting immediately after arrival—wait at least 2–3 weeks to allow the plant to fully adjust before disturbing the roots.

GROWTH & ACCLIMATION

Red Stardust usually acclimates smoothly after shipping. You may notice slower growth or minor leaf adjustment during the first couple of weeks. Once settled, it produces steady growth with strong coloration. This plant grows at a manageable pace and doesn’t require frequent changes.

COMMON ISSUES & TIPS

  • Yellowing leaves → often from excess watering
  • Loss of red color → light may be too low
  • Drooping leaves → temperature stress or recent shipping
  • Brown tips → inconsistent watering

Aglaonema Red Stardust is a resilient, low-maintenance plant. With minimal disturbance and consistent care after shipping, it settles in easily and maintains its vibrant color.
