LIGHT
Giant Golden Pothos prefers bright, indirect light to encourage larger leaves and stronger golden variegation. After shipping, start it in medium light and move brighter once it settles. Low light will cause smaller, greener leaves, while direct sun can scorch foliage during acclimation.
WATERING
Water when the top 2–3 inches of soil are dry. After shipping, allow the plant to dry slightly more between waterings while the roots adjust. Giant Golden Pothos is forgiving but can yellow quickly if kept too wet. Always let excess water drain fully.
HUMIDITY
This plant thrives in 60%+ humidity.
Use a humidifier, pebble tray, or keep it with other plants to help raise moisture levels.
Dry air may cause crispy edges or slower growth, especially in winter.
TEMPERATURE
Ideal temperatures range from 65–85°F. Giant Golden Pothos adapts well to most indoor environments but should be kept away from cold drafts and exterior doors after shipping. Sudden temperature drops can cause temporary drooping.
SOIL & POTTING
Use a well-draining indoor potting mix with added perlite for airflow. A pot with drainage holes is essential. Do not repot immediately after arrival—wait at least 1–2 weeks to allow the plant to settle before making changes.
GROWTH & ACCLIMATION
This plant typically acclimates quickly after shipping. Vines may appear limp at first but usually perk up once watered and placed in stable conditions. Giant Golden Pothos produces larger leaves with brighter light and benefits from a support pole once established.
COMMON ISSUES & TIPS
- Smaller leaves → light may be too low
- Yellowing leaves → excess moisture
- Drooping vines → temperature stress or recent shipping
- Fading variegation → insufficient light
Giant Golden Pothos is hardy and beginner-friendly. With consistent care and minimal disturbance after shipping, it settles in quickly and resumes steady, vigorous growth.
