Anthurium Ace of Spades prefers bright, indirect light, but it’s best to keep light gentle during the first couple of weeks after shipping. A spot with filtered light helps prevent stress and protects the dark foliage from fading. Too much light too soon can dull the leaf color, while low light may slow recovery and growth.

Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. After shipping, this plant prefers slightly drier conditions while the roots adjust. Avoid watering on a schedule—check the soil first. Overwatering is the most common issue during acclimation and can lead to root stress or leaf yellowing.

Ace of Spades thrives in high humidity (65–80%). Stable humidity is especially important after shipping to prevent leaf edge dryness and support healthy new growth. A humidifier or plant cabinet works well. Avoid misting heavily, as consistent ambient humidity is more effective.

Ideal temperatures are 70–85°F. This Anthurium is sensitive to cold and sudden temperature changes. After shipping, keep it away from drafts, air conditioning, and cold windows. Even brief exposure to cooler temperatures can cause leaves to droop or stall growth.
