LIGHT

Anthurium Delta Force prefers bright, filtered light to support leaf texture and size. Avoid direct sun which can scorch foliage. Lower light slows growth and reduces characteristic form. After shipping, introduce brighter light in stages over 7–14 days. Grow lights at moderate intensity work well in greenhouse cabinets or plant shelves.

WATERING

Maintain evenly moist substrate with partial dry-back between waterings. Overwatering leads to yellowing and root rot, while underwatering causes leaf curl and reduced gloss. After shipping, water lightly to allow roots time to recover. Containers must drain freely and avoid standing water. Filtered or conditioned water may reduce mineral buildup on leaf surfaces.

HUMIDITY

Humidity levels between 65–90% are ideal, especially for newly shipped plants. High humidity prevents margin crisping and supports larger leaf development. In household settings, humidifiers or greenhouse setups improve performance. Avoid forced air exposure which leads to dehydration and spotting. Consistent humidity paired with warmth produces the best foliage.

TEMPERATURE

Optimal temperatures range from 70–85°F with minimal nighttime drops. Cold drafts below 60°F may slow root activity and damage emerging leaves. After shipping, place in warm, stable environments away from vents and windows. Avoid hot, dry heating sources that reduce humidity and stress foliage. Warmth accelerates recovery and new growth.

SOIL & POTTING

Use a chunky, airy substrate designed for epiphytic anthuriums such as bark, coco, perlite, and minimal soil content. Avoid heavy mixes that suffocate roots. After shipping, wait 10–14 days before considering repotting unless rootbound. Choose pots with drainage holes and avoid overpotting. Proper aeration supports healthy roots and steady leaf production.

GROWTH & ACCLIMATION

Delta Force may grow slowly initially but accelerates once humidity and warmth stabilize. After shipping, expect mild droop or dullness while leaves rehydrate. Avoid direct sun, heavy watering, or repotting during week one. Once acclimated, consistent care produces larger leaves and improved leaf morphology. New growth emerges from the crown and may take time before fully forming.

COMMON ISSUES & TIPS

Yellowing → overwatering or poor drainage.

Brown margins → low humidity or dry airflow.

Leaf curl → underwatering or low humidity.

Slow growth → low warmth or insufficient humidity.

Spots → cold drafts or water sitting on leaves.

Pro Tip → High humidity + warm temps significantly improve leaf size and overall presentation.
