LIGHT

Philodendron Snow Drift prefers bright, indirect light to maintain its creamy marbled variegation. After shipping, start it in medium-bright light and slowly increase intensity over 1–2 weeks. Direct sun can scorch the lighter areas, while low light may cause new growth to appear greener with less contrast.

WATERING

Water when the top 2 inches of soil are dry. After shipping, allow the plant to dry slightly more between waterings while the roots adjust. Snow Drift is sensitive to excess moisture during acclimation, and overwatering can lead to yellowing or soft leaves. Always ensure excess water drains fully.

HUMIDITY

This plant does best in moderate to high humidity (60–75%). Stable humidity helps new leaves unfurl evenly and supports recovery after transit. Very dry air can cause irregular leaf hardening or browning on lighter variegated areas.

TEMPERATURE

Ideal temperatures range from 68–85°F. Philodendron Snow Drift prefers consistent warmth. After shipping, avoid cold drafts, air conditioning vents, and exterior doors, as temperature fluctuations can slow acclimation and stress the foliage.

SOIL & POTTING

Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix with orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir to promote airflow around the roots. A pot with drainage holes is essential. Do not repot immediately after arrival—wait at least 2–3 weeks so the plant can acclimate before disturbing the root system.

GROWTH & ACCLIMATION

It’s normal for Snow Drift to pause growth after shipping. New leaves may emerge smaller or with lighter coloration at first and improve as the plant stabilizes. Avoid frequent movement or repotting during the acclimation period. Variegation may vary naturally from leaf to leaf.

COMMON ISSUES & TIPS

  • Loss of white marbling → light may be too low
  • Yellowing leaves → excess moisture or poor drainage
  • Drooping leaves → temperature stress or recent shipping
  • Misshapen new leaves → low humidity during unfurling

Philodendron Snow Drift benefits from patience after shipping. With consistent care and a stable environment, its growth and variegation will strengthen as it settles.
