LIGHT
Bright, indirect light keeps internodes tight and leaf color rich. A few feet back from an east or west window works well, or across the room from a bright south window. Direct midday sun can burn leaf edges, while low light causes stretching and smaller leaves. Grow lights may be used 12–18 inches above the canopy for consistent results.
WATERING
Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry. After shipping, roots slow down briefly, so water slightly less for 1–2 weeks. Overwatering shows as yellow lower leaves and soft stems, while underwatering causes limp petioles that perk after watering. Use a b method and avoid standing water in saucers.
HUMIDITY
Prefers moderate humidity (50–70%) but adapts to typical indoor levels once acclimated. Dry forced-air heat may crisp leaf tips, especially in winter. Keep away from AC vents and heaters for best results. Grouping plants or using a small humidifier can maintain stable humidity without enclosure.
TEMPERATURE
Ideal range is 65–80°F. Temperatures below 55°F slow growth and may damage fresh leaves. Avoid drafts from doors or windows during winter months. Transit-related cold exposure may cause temporary leaf softness which corrects as the plant warms.
SOIL & POTTING
Use a chunky, breathable aroid mix containing bark, perlite, and coco coir/peat. Avoid dense moisture-control potting soils that retain water too long. Repot only when roots fill the container. Vertical support helps encourage upward growth and larger leaves.
GROWTH & ACCLIMATION
Moderate climber with elongated leaf shape. Expect 1–3 weeks of acclimation after shipping with slower water uptake. Resume fertilizing only once new growth appears. Growth slows in low light seasons naturally.
COMMON ISSUES & TIPS
Leggy growth → low light
Yellowing lower leaves → overwatering or normal aging
Soft leaves on arrival → shipping fatigue
Avoid repotting during acclimation
