LIGHT
Bright filtered light is ideal to protect variegated tissue. Pale sectors burn easily under harsh sun. North-bright or east exposures are ideal indoors. Grow lights are an alternative when kept moderate in intensity.
WATERING
Keep soil slightly moist with short dry-back. After shipping, water less frequently until plant settles. Overwatering leads to corm rot and yellow leaves; underwatering causes droop that recovers. Ensure proper drainage at all times.
HUMIDITY
Prefers 60–75% humidity. Dry air browns variegation edges. Grouped plants or humidifiers maintain stable conditions without enclosures.
TEMPERATURE
Ideal range is 68–85°F. Below 60°F slows metabolism and risks leaf damage. Avoid cold drafts.
SOIL & POTTING
Use loose aroid media with bark and perlite. Avoid heavy soils. Repot once rootbound or when dry-out becomes rapid.
GROWTH & ACCLIMATION
Moderate growth with potential seasonal dormancy depending on climate. Acclimation takes 1–3 weeks after shipping. Resume fertilizing once new leaves appear.
COMMON ISSUES & TIPS
Brown variegation → sunburn
Soft stems → overwatering or cold
Leaf drop → acclimation period
