LIGHT
Medium to bright indirect light enhances red coloration and overall vigor. Direct sun washes out color and burns leaves. Low light is tolerated but reduces intensity and growth rate. East windows or shaded south windows are suitable indoors.
WATERING
Keep soil evenly moist with a small dry-back between waterings. Overwatering causes yellowing lower leaves and root rot, while underwatering causes limp foliage. After shipping, water slightly less until growth resumes. Drain excess water from saucers.
HUMIDITY
Tolerates normal indoor humidity (40–60%) without issue. Higher humidity improves leaf sheen but is not strictly required. Avoid placement under dry HVAC airflow, which may crisp leaf tips.
TEMPERATURE
Ideal range is 65–80°F. Below 60°F slows growth and may cause leaf damage. Avoid drafts and cold windows during winter.
SOIL & POTTING
Use a well-draining tropical mix with perlite. Avoid heavy soils that retain water too long. Repot when rootbound or when dry-out becomes rapid.
GROWTH & ACCLIMATION
Reliable indoor grower with stable coloration. Acclimation takes 1–3 weeks. Fertilize once new growth appears.
COMMON ISSUES & TIPS
Color fading → low light
Yellowing → overwatering
Leaf curl → underwatering or low humidity
