Water when the top 1–2 inches dry out. This species dislikes consistently wet soil. Overwatering leads to yellowing leaves and potential stem rot, while underwatering causes slight droop that recovers after watering. After shipping, water less frequently until stable.

Prefers 50–70% humidity for optimal leaf texture. Can tolerate normal household humidity without issue. Avoid placing directly under vents that dry leaves excessively.

Ideal temperature range is 65–82°F. Below 55°F slows growth and risks leaf damage. Protect from drafts during winter deliveries.
